Located within Lake Travis ISD, Travis Settlement is just 25 minutes west of downtown Austin and 35 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Travis Settlement offers Hill Country living on estate sized lots. The community was established in 1992 and has grown to over 325 single-family estates ranging in size from 1.5 to more than 20 acres. The community of Travis Settlement also encompasses several commercial properties along Hwy 71 W.
Our residents enjoy easy access to a wide variety of dining, shopping, outdoor activities and Hill Country attractions. The Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave, just seven miles away, offers a wide selection of shops and restaurants. Outdoor activities, such as boating, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, hiking and golf, are minutes from our doors. In addition, we are less than an hour away from many Hill Country attractions in places like Gruene, New Braunfels, Wimberly, Fredericksburg and Luckenbach. The nearby country side offers many places to enjoy live music; wine tastings, distillery and brewery tours or just a relaxing day at a spring fed swimming hole like Barton Springs, Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool or Jacob's Well.
In Travis Settlement we enjoy our neighbors, our privacy and our natural surroundings. Property owners and their guests have access to both of our private community parks: a natural swimming hole on Bee Creek and a boating and picnic park on the shores of Lake Travis.
In addition to the private parks there are many public parks within a short distance of Travis Settlement. The two closest parks are Pace Bend and Canyonlands of Lakeway. Pace Bend is managed by Travis County. The park offers hiking, camping, boating and mountain biking. The Canyonlands of Lakeway, less than one mile from Travis Settlement, offers many miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.
